Our School Uniform  

Dress to impress! – Our school uniform and the expectations.

We see school uniform as an essential part of school life. It is a symbol of belonging and something that unites all children at Fairview Community Primary School.

School uniform is available to purchase online from our uniform suppliers:

Alternatively, uniform can be purchased from most supermarkets - Tesco, Sainsbury's etc.

We occasionally have some nearly new items available. Please ask the school office should you require this.

Uniform Supplier Order Forms

School Uniform

  • Grey trousers or shorts
  • Grey skirts or pinafore
  • Light blue gingham dress/playsuit in summer months
  • Light blue polo shirt/shirt & navy jumper/sweatshirts/cardigan or school fleeces only (no hoodies)

No trainers or hoodies to be worn on school uniform days

It is not necessary to have a school badge on your t-shirts, jumpers etc.

All long hair must be tied back with a navy/black/brown elastic. All hair accessories must be discreet and school colours (blue, black, white). 

PE Kit

  • Navy plain joggers/shorts/skort/leggings with a plain house-coloured t-shirt and navy plain sweatshirt/hoodie (no skins, branded clothing or football shirts)

  • Trainers are only to be worn on PE days - no laces if your child is unable to tie them.

Pupils who play football or hockey may require football boots and shin pads. This would be advised in the club letters.    

We provide a Fairview team strip for pupils who represent us in sporting events.

All clothing and footwear should be clearly marked with the child’s name.

Jewellery

Small stud earrings can be worn, but all jewellery, including watches, must be removed for PE lessons, after-school clubs and sporting events. Earrings cannot be taped up. If your child wears earrings on a PE day which they cannot remove, they may be asked to take on an alternative role, such as an umpire/referee, coach/judge or sports reporter. They may not be able to take part physically in the full lesson, which may prevent them from reaching their full potential in PE and getting the government's recommended time for physical activity for children. 

Children who wear watches to school must accept responsibility for them. We do not allow Smartwatches, and they must be taken off during PE lessons.

Cosmetics, including nail varnish and makeup, are strictly forbidden.

Caterpillars Nursery Uniform

  • Pale blue polo shirt 
  • Navy blue jumper or cardigan 
  • Dark grey, navy or black trousers/skirt/shorts/pinafore/leggings/joggers  
  • Dark grey, navy, black or white tights/socks 
  • Blue and white gingham dress/playsuit (summer time) 
  • Black shoes or trainers  

Your child does not require a PE kit for nursery.
